Immigrants in Spain

Post by Carla Pérez Gascón on Sat Feb 24, 2018 8:49 pm

I think that immigrants aren’t fully integrated into Spanish society because most of the immigrants that come to Spain don’t work or don’t live in good neighbourhoods. They are usually discriminated because of the colour of their skin, their religion, etc... and they shouldn’t be treated that way because we’re all the same, that’s on of the reason why they are isolated and don’t a lot of people, specially the powerful people, care about them. Normally, immigrants come from poor countries or countries in conflict to Spain for a better life and have seen terrible things and deserve respect, a proper job and house and all the opportunities that everyone who has born in Spain has.
Immigrants are also part of our society and thanks to them the supply of labour increases and economic expansions stimulate. They also do many different jobs which revitalises the domestic labour market and increases consumption and help paying taxes in Spain, this all helps our society so they should be fully integrated.

I agree with you Carla in most of the things you have said. I don’t think immigrants are completely integrated because of discrimination, no works or bad neighbourhoods as you said. I agree also in the part where you said that we are all the same without matter colour, religion or culture. Is true most of the immigrants come to Spain to escape of poverty or conflict in their countries to find a better life. In conclusion, I think most of the immigrants had a reason to get out of their origin countries.

I agree with what you said at the end, but immigrants aren’t very discriminated in Spain, only a few of them fell they are, but is true that there are some that are discriminated and we should try to stop that.
