social diversity is good for us?

Social diversity refers to the differences between people’s origins, thoughts, way of living, characteristics, culture, language, likes... So, do you think social diversity is good for us?
I my opinion social biodiversity is a very good thing because:
you can learn about things of other
You can talk in differents lenguaje
But some people think that social biodiversity is bad a hate people because of his/her skin colour or because his culture.
